We now have only 5 weeks left of the Omer!
Quickly approaching is Yom Ha’atzma’ut, Israeli Independence Day. I previously wrote here about my theories about the connections we can invent between the various national holidays that occur during the Omer.
During the lead-up to Yom Ha’atzma’ut, I thought I’d feature links to stories of major challenges faced by Israel today.
We’ll start with the ongoing attempt to invalidate every government-approved conversion since 1999. Failed Messiah, a wonderful blog about the ridiculousness of the Charedi world, has been covering the story here and here. Very upsetting trend.
